About Our Trust

Tulsi Rural Development Trust (also popularly known as “Tulsi Trust”) was incorporated on 3rd June 1996. (Hereinafter known as TRDT) to help the rural poor people by providing them quality medical health care at free/subsidized cost. It helped Sankara Nethralya during the first two decades after commencement of operations to mobilise patients for eye surgeries and keep a close watch on their recovery after surgery.

Our primary motto is “Service to the indigent mankind”.

The trust widened the scope of ts activities from medicare to education, rehabilitation and financial assistance to the economically weaker sections of the society.

TRDT is a charitable trust enjoying tax exemption, holds valid 80 G exemption for donors and FCRA registration to receive foreign donors

Our Mentors

We remember with gratitude, our Auditor “Gopal and Murthi’ (the partner Mr.A.Muralidharan) for their wholehearted support free of cost since inception.

We remember with gratitude Mr.R.Mukundhan for his technical and timely support for data maintenance at affordable rates and purchase of office equipments at competitive rates

We remember with reverence our mentor late Dr Udaya Mahadevan who helped us right through in tsunami project and in the selection of social workers and in designing protocols for eye-care services.
